Since we covered Fall Centerpieces to Fall in Love With, it couldn’t hurt to add a few posts on how to bring your table settings together.

How to Make a Napkin Ring

Sure, you can buy plain ones at the dollar store, but this frugal gal likes to use and recycle. By making the ring yourself, you can have the control of the width – which allows for more embellishment space.

Start with the base: Save cardboard paper towel, gift wrap or toilet paper tubes. Sometimes you may even be lucky to get a tube with your last fabric purchase.

Cut them to the width of your choice, paint them or glue fabric around the rings. Add embellishments such as silk leaves, dried flowers, sprigs of wheat, and other adornments using an array of glues: fabric, wood, or even a Hi/Lo glue gun (the quickest alternative).

Below are a few examples and links on how to make some easy napkins rings:

If you have any napkin rings you’re proud of creating, please feel free to send a pic. I’d love to see them. Thanks!
